Physical Performance Chart

Training is not linear, it fluctuates through cycles. We have peaks of form when we prepare for a competition, and sometimes we perform worse due to situations such as an injury, for example.

It is difficult to have a global vision that makes us improve or to know how to identify periods where the training has not gone as expected.

How does it work?

To measure the level of Fitness (CTL), Fatigue (ATL), and Form (TSB), each completed and synced workout from the devices is assigned an Effort Score.

This score measures the intensity of the workout and is a calculation based on heart rate data compared second by second with the athlete’s personal physical data.

The physical condition chart analyzes these data to show the accumulated training over time.

In this way, it is possible to capture the evolution of physical condition as well as the loss of it when one takes a break.

Fitness, Fatigue, and Form

Increasing your fitness level isn’t always the most important thing. Monitoring for overtraining is crucial and more functional with the performance chart.

It’s easy to notice when fatigue rises to undesirable levels simply by checking the Fatigue levels on the chart and identifying which workouts have caused these spikes through the Effort Score.

Fitness (Physical Condition)

Fitness is an exponentially weighted average of the last 42 days of training and reflects the training that has been carried out over the past few months.

However, workouts conducted 15 days ago will impact your physical state more than those conducted two months ago. As Fitness increases, Fatigue will also increase, but at a faster rate.

Fatigue

Fatigue is an exponential average of the Effort from the training over the last 7 days. When there are workouts with very high Effort scores, fatigue increases significantly in response.

Form

Finally, by subtracting yesterday’s Fatigue from yesterday’s Fitness, we obtain the Form line. Being in form does not mean you’re ready to perform at your peak. A negative Form would indicate that you are carrying too much fatigue and are not in shape.

However, by decreasing the intensity of the workouts, we can reduce fatigue at a faster rate than the loss of physical form, thus recovering form on the day that matters most.

Training Library

Use the library to save your most common workouts for later use. You can drag, copy, and paste them into your training calendar.

You can also add images, videos, and other files to use in your workouts.

Weather Forecast

Eliminate last-minute adjustments so you can keep focusing on your training. Weather forecasts can be displayed directly in the athlete’s calendar, allowing them to adjust their schedules to the weather conditions.

Athlete Page

Show off your fitness and let others follow your training journey and races! The athlete page is your personalized URL that allows others to see a high level of your training and view your daily, weekly, and monthly stats.

Coach

If you are a coach, you can also upgrade your athletes to premium. To do this, simply log into your account and in each athlete’s profile, click on “upgrade” next to the name of the current subscription.
