Zwift Integration

TrainerPlan connects with Zwift in both directions: your coach’s structured workouts appear in Zwift ready to ride or run, and the activities you complete in Zwift sync back to your TrainerPlan calendar automatically.
Features
1. Ride or Run Your Planned Workouts in Zwift
Running and cycling workouts scheduled in TrainerPlan appear in Zwift’s workout list on their scheduled day, with your intervals and targets built in.
2. Sync Completed Zwift Activities
When you save an activity in Zwift, it appears in your TrainerPlan calendar within moments — matched to your planned workout and marked as done, with distance, duration, heart rate, power, charts, laps and time in zones.
Connecting Your Zwift Account
- In TrainerPlan, go to Settings > Connections
- On the Zwift card, click Connect with Zwift
- Log in with your Zwift account and click Yes to grant access
- Back in TrainerPlan, the card shows Connected with two toggles: workout sync and activity sync
Coaches can also connect a Zwift account on behalf of an athlete from the athlete’s Sharing page.
How Workouts Appear in Zwift
- Workouts for the next 7 days are kept in sync automatically — each one becomes available in Zwift on its scheduled day
- Only running and cycling workouts are sent (strength, swimming and other sports are not supported by Zwift)
- Editing a workout in TrainerPlan updates it in Zwift; deleting it removes it from Zwift
- The push workouts button on the Zwift card re-sends the coming week immediately
- Zwift loads its workout list when you log in — if you just made a change, restart Zwift or re-enter the workout screen to see it
Pace and Power Targets
Workouts carry your TrainerPlan thresholds: cycling targets are based on your TrainerPlan FTP, and running targets on your TrainerPlan threshold pace. One tip for runners: the paces Zwift displays in its workout list preview come from your Zwift pace profile. To make them match your TrainerPlan zones, set your Zwift 1 mile time to match your TrainerPlan threshold pace (for example, a 5:30 min/km threshold ≈ an 8:51 mile).
Good to Know
- Zwift discards very short activities: runs under 500 m and rides under 2 km are not saved by Zwift and will never sync
- Heart rate data requires a heart rate monitor paired in Zwift
- If you end a workout early, the activity still syncs — your calendar shows what you actually completed
Disconnecting
Remove the connection from TrainerPlan (Settings > Connections > Zwift > Remove) or from Zwift’s side at zwift.com > Account > Connections. Either way, scheduled TrainerPlan workouts are removed from Zwift and no further data is exchanged.
