Sync Daily Health Metrics from Your Watch — Sleep, HRV, Resting HR and More
Training is only half the picture — recovery is the other half. TrainerPlan now imports your daily health metrics automatically from Garmin, COROS, Suunto, Polar and Apple Health, so your sleep, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate appear on your calendar every morning without you lifting a finger.
What syncs automatically
Depending on what your watch measures, TrainerPlan imports daily values such as:
- Sleep duration.
- HRV (heart-rate variability) — one of the best day-to-day recovery signals.
- Resting and maximum heart rate.
- Body metrics like weight, BMI, body water and muscle mass (from connected scales).
- Calories.
Each day’s values are grouped into a single, tidy metrics block on your calendar — one glance tells you how recovered you woke up. When you first connect, TrainerPlan also backfills up to 30 days of history so your charts start with context, not a blank page.
You decide what is shared
Health data is personal, so sharing is opt-in, per integration:
- Open Settings → Connections.
- For each connected device, choose whether daily health metrics are imported and which of them you share.
- Change your mind anytime — the toggles take effect immediately.
Apple Health users manage the same consent from the mobile app, with iOS’s own permission screen as an extra layer.
For coaches
When an athlete shares their metrics, their daily block appears on their calendar and in your group view — sleep and HRV right next to the workouts you planned. Spot a short night before a key session and adapt before it becomes an injury. If a particular athlete’s calendar gets crowded, you can show or hide health-metric blocks per athlete.
See the trends, not just the days
Every synced metric feeds the analysis dashboard: add sleep, HRV or resting heart-rate charts to your board and watch the trend lines move with your training block. Recovery data you never have to type in — that’s the habit that actually sticks.
