Banister in 1975, remains one of the most reliable metrics for measuring the impact of training on athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>With a Power Meter<\/strong><br>For cyclists who use a power meter to measure the watts produced in each phase of training, TrainerPlan uses the method developed by Dr. Andrew Coggan. This approach considers both the duration of the training and the relative intensity compared to your functional threshold power, providing an accurate measurement of the effort expended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fitness Calculation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fitness (Condition)<\/strong><br>Fitness is an exponentially weighted average of the last 42 days of training, reflecting accumulated effort and consistency. Recent workouts have a greater impact on your fitness than older ones. As your Fitness increases, so will your Fatigue, but at a greater rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fatigue<\/strong><br>Fatigue is calculated as an exponential average of the effort of your workouts over the past 7 days. Workouts with high effort scores will significantly increase your Fatigue level, reflecting the load your body is experiencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Form<\/strong><br>Form is the result of subtracting the previous day\u2019s Fatigue from your previous day\u2019s Fitness.
